Jesus was taking the apostles across the sea to a quiet place for rest only to find a large crowd waiting for him on the shore. Instead of being irritated with them, he had compassion on them and taught them. Later he fed them using what little food they had. When the apostles were trying to calculate how to feed the people, Jesus taught them to deepen their faith in him. You never know what God will do with your little bread and fish, you just be full of compassion and faith in Jesus.
